Travis Pastrana is visualizing his new Ride in a Rally in his mind b4 he gets the New Dart 2013 model when the Dodge team approached him with the offer for rally

and i think we all know he got it

i drew Travis Pastrana like an inset(just like in newspaper) so that if the Company wont to Advertise their Rally edition they can post this as poster

I did not want the refection of car to be in his glasses like everyone would expect as he is dreaming/visualization , car isnt actually in front of him

*This is the first time i am trying Charcoal as someone suggested me to use it in faceboook
*This is the Third Car i ever drew , all the three were for the same competition
*This is the first sketch of mine with a Background = i am afraid of backgrounds , i dont know how to sketch backgrounds
*This is the first time i am drawing the inside details of the car
*This is the first time i am combining lot of images into one
(i mean there was only the car pic and a Travis Pic when i was starting then i drew the dragon , drew the background ideas)
*I simply didnt have time to draw the letterings and i basically avoided it bcos some may have copyright issues

HOW I DREW IT
============

i outlined the car sketch and Travis then i found out there was more space in the paper so i drew a perspective background to show the drifting of the car in high speed

Travis was done first , then top background ,then back of the car ,then background below near the back ,then car front and then background then detailing

wanted to do lot more things but due to the deadline i closed the work

The work is very good in person , than the Scanned and joined version


and it is damn dark too no editing Charcoal is already too dark lols

and everything is dark even the car but the graphite is reflective material and so it becomes lighter in scanner due to reflection whereas charcoal will become darker as it absorbs light from scanner

so the real image has everything in almost same depth but yes still charcoal bckground have considerable depth than graphite portrait and car

i am trying to get the correct image by adjusting the levels in photoshop

and the whiteness in the sketch is brough by rubber and white pencil

Tools used

22*15 inches

i have used 2B Staedtler Mars .5 and HB Rotring Ticky .35
i have also used Faber Castell 4b TK9400 and progresso 8B and 4B from Kohinoor

I have used Charcoal pencils and brush for Background

i have also used Kneaded eraser and Retractable eraser

Minor changes
============
The Logos have been etched into the sketch all traditionally
but i have used a marker like sketch in two places other than graphite and charcoal for this

then there has been tweaks in dragon , tweaks in other [arts of the car in lighting section alone

hope improvements are good now
